The suspect vehicle was ultimately located after it had crashed through the fence of a private residence and came to a stop at 4404 SW 15th Pl.

The driver of the SUV was reportedly experiencing a medical episode related to a "diabetic issue", according to paramedics on the scene.

The driver was transported to a local hospital for her injuries.

Sources told us that this isn't the driver's first incident with a medical episode – in 2019, she allegedly experienced a similar episode and crashed into a pole.

SWFLUC crews on the scene could see visible tread marks and dirt all throughout the sidewalk and grass shoulder of the intersection where the boy was struck.

The 12-year-old boy's condition remains unknown.
