FORT MYERS, Fla. — A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in an accident that is creating significant northbound delays on I-75 at mile marker 127 in Lee County.
At around 3:26 PM, a Lee County EMS ambulance that was transporting a patient from an unrelated incident witnessed the crash and immediately reported it to their dispatchers.
The motorcyclist was declared a trauma alert as SCPFD crews began responding.
The motorcyclist was promptly transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center once an additional ambulance arrived.
The FHP is investigating the crash and two northbound lanes of I-75, south of Alico, are currently blocked.
