CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Several residents have been displaced after a garage fire severely damaged a home off NE 1st Terr in north Cape Coral.
The Cape Coral Fire Department and Lee County EMS responded to the call at 3:53 PM on Sunday afternoon.
The garage was so heavily involved in fire that responding crews noted a column of smoke in the air as they approached the home.
The fire was put out about 35 minutes after the first crews arrived on scene.
No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross has been notified as several people were displaced due to the fire.
