The first vehicle, a black SUV, had five passengers and was driving westbound on SR-82 at a "high rate of speed" approaching Sunshine Blvd.

The second vehicle, a white sedan, was traveling eastbound in the turn lane of SR-82 to cross over onto Sunshine Blvd.

The driver of the SUV, a 34-year-old man from Moorehaven, sustained serious injuries.

FHP states that the driver of the white sedan sustained critical injuries and died at the hospital.

Family members told us that the driver of the white sedan was only 18 and she had just graduated highschool. She was local to Lehigh Acres.
