ESTERO, Fla. — One person reportedly sustained minor injuries after a semi-truck slammed into the back of an SUV at the intersection of Mediterranean Dr and S Tamiami Trl just outside of the Coconut Point Mall in Estero.
The Estero Fire District and Lee County EMS responded to the incident at 4:03 PM on Thursday.
The force of the crash caused both vehicles to exit the roadway and enter a ditch adjacent to S Tamiami Trl.
All parties were able to safely exit their vehicles and one person reportedly sustained minor injuries.
It is unknown if the injured person was transported to the hospital.
One northbound lane is blocked at this time.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
