FORT MYERS, Fla. — An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed at the intersection of Heitman St and Edison Ave in Fort Myers on Saturday.
The Fort Myers Fire Department and Lee County EMS responded to the call at 5:20 PM on Saturday afternoon.
An approximately 31-year-old man was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center as a trauma alert.
He sustained five stab wounds to the abdomen and lower back and was reported to be conscious and alert.
The nature of the incident is unknown.
This is the second stabbing incident this week.
